New Era Writers has been developed to enable amateur writers to publish and promote their writing, by means of our regular writing competitions.

By entering our writing competitions New Era Writers offers you the opportunity to have your work produced as a printed volume. This will be as part of a compendium of collected short stories, or as a complete and individual book if your winning writing competition entry is a Novella (min 30,000 words) or a full novel.

For younger writers, we have two levels of writing competitions. Young adults aged between 13 and 17 compete in a separate class to children 12 years and younger. This gives a much more favourable opportunity to the youngsters. In both cases we offer a range of tantalising prizes such as an iPod classic.

As well as writing competitions New Era Writers is also a platform aimed at getting Britain writing. Our aim is to improve writing and communication skills in young and old alike, simply by writing. It does not matter if your English or your grammar is poor, we want to read your story, and what is more, unlike other writing competitions which are limited to email or type written copy, we will accept your story in any format, even if it's hand written! Writing is good for everyone as it improves dexterity, imagination and brain power. Our aim is to help get writers into print so that ultimately, they can earn money from it.
